Catch the Lake Trout Fall Frenzy!!

Sept. 10-14

Sept. 14-18

"We had a great time once again...4th time is a charm and we keep having more fun!" Aram Beam

“I caught this fish on Logan late in the day on a 3/8 oz. Spinner bait. This was my second year in a row fishing out of Max and they both have been outstanding. My fishing partner and I had an awesome day on Logan. Before catching this fish, we caught and released over 200 fish..., Awesome! This was my largest Northern so far and I was so excited I almost forgot to get a picture after removing her from the net and measuring. Best day on a lake ever!!” Tom Martin

“We ended up catching 18 masters, 1496 total pike. Craig got the largest at 48.5 inches and over 40 pounds.“ Duane Cain

”Andrew & I had a great trip. Our guide, Lawrence, was great with us amateur fishermen! Your cooks and staff were friendly and efficient.” Kent Miller

“The lodge was very accommodating and the meals were great. I outfished Blake and really enjoyed the honeymoon! It was very exciting. Girls can catch big fish too!!” Krista Johnson

“What a fabulous week of fishing...the food was great, the guides were always helpful, and the accommodations were comfortable and very pleasant. I would certainly recommend Molson Lake Lodge to any of my fishing friends.” Rob Regnerus

“I recently was on a fishing trip at Molson with a group from Corporate Graphics. We had a great time. I caught this 42” northern on our last day of fishing. It was right after lunch, I had some lunch caught in my teeth and Randy mentioned I should use the fishing line as floss. It worked like a charm and as an added bonus, I happened to hook this fish while I was flossing and we were trolling……happy to say all my teeth are still intact.” Darik Aho

A History of Molson Lake Lodge

and the FETT TRADITION

In 1977 Lyle Fett decided to give up the corporate life he was leading and start a new life in the Great Outdoors. He had grew up fishing and hunting in his formative years and it was his first love. He had married Dianne who also grew to share the interests. They had spent countless trips into Canada researching for the right location. Suddenly a small native owned lodge came up for sale on a well known lake.

Lyle learned of this in April, flew in on skis, kicked through the snowbanks and gave the owner $500 earnest money and said, "I will be back in three weeks with a down payment!" This happened and three weeks later the Fett’s owned Molson Lake Lodge.

In 1978 they immediately started building cabins. The next year they started an outpost on Max Lake which turned out to be the premier northern pike lake in Manitoba and one of the best in all of Canada. In 1986 a 4500 foot airstrip was added. By 1989 they were one of the largest fly-in lodges in Manitoba and in Canada.

This huge success story continued by having quality fishing and outstanding customer service.   90% of Molson Lake Lodge’s business is either repeat or referral.  Molson Lake is noted as one of the best fishing lakes in Canada for northern, walleye and lake trout. Max Lake outpost is unbelievable with the biggest northern to date at 59 inches. Little Bolton a new outpost addition in 2001 offers large northern and an incomparable amount of walleye.

Sam Fett who had been involved in the business since 4 years of age is now taking over the reins.  After helping while growing up, he became full time upon graduating from Concordia College.  He is now taking over Molson Lake Lodge - “Where the Action Is”.  He plans on continuing  to provide quality fishing where the customer is #1 -   a continuation of the FETT TRADITION. Dianne & Lyle will continue to work at our home office coordinating everything in preparation for your trip.
